Step 1: Prepare the Soil and Sow the Seeds
Choose loose, fertile, well-drained soil.
Remove stones and hard clumps to help the carrots grow straight.
Sow the seeds directly into the soil, about 0.5–1 cm deep, then cover with a thin layer of soil.
Water gently to keep the soil moist without washing away the seeds.
Step 2: Care for the Seedlings
Place the plants in a well-lit area with suitable sunlight, ideally around 6 hours daily.
Water regularly to keep the soil moderately moist, avoiding both dryness and waterlogging.
Thin out small and weak seedlings to give healthy plants enough space to grow.
Remove weeds regularly and check for pests to support healthy growth.
Step 3: Watering & Harvesting
- Maintain consistent soil moisture to help the roots grow evenly and reduce cracking.
- Avoid excessive nitrogen fertilizer and keep the soil well-aerated.
- Check the size of the carrots and harvest when the roots reach a suitable size.
- Harvesting usually takes around 60–90 days after sowing, depending on the variety and growing conditions.
